With roots dating back to 1975, MATV Systems has grown from humble beginnings into a leading provider of MATV and CATV system design and installation across Newcastle, Maitland, Forster Tuncurry, Sydney, Canberra, and North and South Queensland.


Owned by Stephen and two partners, the business combines more than 100 years of industry experience. Stephen and installation manager Phil bring deep technical knowledge and trusted hands-on expertise to every project.


As Foxtel design partners, our team is fully equipped and trained to deliver compliant, high-quality installations and Pay TV upgrades across a wide range of commercial properties, including hospitals, aged care facilities, retirement villages, apartment buildings, hotels, and more.

Recent upgrades at Newcastle’s major hospital saw us completely rewire the entire MATV system, converting an old analogue system to digital and install more than 600 TV sets and ceiling brackets and nurse control handsets. It included altering the headend from one that occupied an entire store room to one that fits in a 27RU cabinet. Many inhouse channels were also included for patient viewing.

This 19-storey apartment building, located adjacent to Carlingford Station, features a fully integrated five-wire MATV system that delivers both Free-to-Air (FTA) and Pay TV services to each of its approximately 140 units. Each apartment is equipped with two cables leading to every wall plate, ensuring reliable and high-quality signal distribution throughout the premises. This comprehensive installation was carried out as part of a construction project by Growthbuilt, a company known for delivering large-scale residential developments across Sydney.

The Summer Hill Flour Mill arrived in 1922. A cluster of functional milling and storage buildings built by Mungo Scott. The landmark silos appeared in the 1950s, as Goodman Fielder grew the mill’s capacity; followed by Allied Mills, who continued to supply the key ingredient for many of Australia’s favourite loaves, until operations were wound up in 2009.


The main building is a 10-storey apartment block featuring apartments made inside the old durum wheat silos. Interesting building as all walls and windows are curved to take on the shape of the outer silo walls. Also featuring the Granary and the Malthouse buildings. Stage 1 is completed with around 400 outlets. Stage 2 under construction now. Stages 3 and 4 will commence soon.

A very large, beautifully maintained village in Erina. The location is a poor site for TV reception and the Village has endured many years of variable TV Reception. Approx 500 Villas and Apartments it was serviced by 4 separate Antenna locations and 4 Headends. The management of the Village RetireAustralia, tasked us the job of rectifying the poor TV signal, use only one suitable Headend and add some in house information channels. We achieved this using Fibre between all hubs, a Kingray Regeneration Headend and 2 Brightsign Media players for in house channels.

This aged care facility in Toronto comprises 147 beds and has been fitted with a complete five-wire MATV system, ensuring reliable access to both Free-to-Air (FTA) and Pay TV services at every outlet throughout the site. The system was designed and installed to meet the diverse entertainment and communication needs of residents and staff. The project was constructed by Hansen Yuncken, a leading builder known for its commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare and aged care developments across the region.

This development features 83 one, two and three-bedroom apartments spread across three residential towers in a vibrant urban setting. As a TDT project, the system delivers both Free-to-Air (FTA) and Pay TV services over a single cable to each apartment, ensuring efficient and reliable signal distribution throughout the complex. The builder for this project was Richard Crookes Constructions.

The upgrade enhances guest comfort and entertainment, aligning with modern hospitality expectations in one of Forster’s most popular, vibrant and highly sought-after coastal holiday destinations.

MURRAYS BEACH COMMUNITY

The entire Lake Macquarie lakeside suburb of Murrays Beach is cabled underground with .500" and .750" Hardline cable. All TV channels are available with a pedestal connection at the property boundary. The system was designed, installed and is maintained by MATV Systems Australia Pty Ltd. There are in excess of 600 home sites running off the one MATV/CATV system.
